Hi, I'm Inès
I’m a French-American visual designer based in London, working across the fields of graphic design, visual identity and illustration. I’m currently pursuing an MA in Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art.
I’m interested in visual communication as a field of inquiry as well as a field of practice. The notion of visual language is a starting point for my research, and key to informing my process. I pursue a parametric, process-led approach, developing compelling visual systems through experimentation with typography, abstract illustration, repetition and pattern making.
Ultimately, I wish for my work to act as a tool, design that can be shared, built upon, and interacted with : unique typefaces that help build new visual languages, generative identities that grow and evolve, interactive experiences on- or offline that invite the audience into the design process.
To me, the most enjoyable and meaningful work is done through discussion and collaboration, wether with my audience or user, or within the team I’m working with. I pride myself on engaging in and encouraging creative dialogue, I thrive from an environment that activates the collective intelligence of a team.
The best visual communication is a conversation.
If any of this speaks to you, collaborations, ideas and feedback are more than welcome. I’ll be available for freelance work as well more long term positions when I complete my MA this summer, please get in touch!
